UWCC's Books for Kids Raises over 1200 Books

United Way of Coastal Carolina raised over 1200 new and gently used books during the Annual "Books for Kids" Drive.  This year, the books were given to schools and libraries that were damaged in Hurricane Florence.  Books are being given to:

  • Morehead City Elementary
  • The Bridge Downeast
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plains for Teen Centers
  • Pamlico Middle School
  • Maysville Elementary
  • Roger Bell Academy

Many thanks to all the businesses who served as Drop Off locations for the donated books, including BB&T locations in Craven and Carteret Counties, Maysville Town Hall, Realo Drugs in Pollocksville, Brock Motor Company in Trenton, State Employees Credit Union in Grantsboro, MOEN in New Bern, Weyerhaeuser Timberlands in New Bern, and Teen Court in Craven County.
