United Way of Coastal Carolina’s “Books for Kids” Drive will be collecting new and gently-used books for young readers from February 18 to March 12. The books will be donated to schools that were extensively damaged by Hurricane Florence in the non-profit’s service area that includes Carteret, Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties.
Books will be donated to the following designated schools:
- Jones County Middle School
- Trenton Elementary School
- Roger Bell Academy
- Pamlico Middle School
- Morehead City Elementary School
The following locations will be accepting donated books:
- BB&T New Bern branches at Carolina Colours, Downtown and Highway 17S (MLK Boulevard)
- BB&T branches in Cape Carteret, Morehead City Main and Morehead City Highway 70 W
- State Employees Credit Union in Bayboro
- Brock Motor Company in Trenton
- Maysville Town Hall
- United Way of Coastal Carolina office at 601 Broad Street, New Bern
“Books for Kids” will wrap up on March 12.
